Run Fest 5k
RunFest 5k, a Royse City Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event, will continue to be an annual activity to get the big FunFest celebration in downtown Royse City off to a running start.
This year's event will be our "breakout" year.
Breakout?
Yep. It's being promoted as a "Jailhouse Run."
The RunFest 5k will be a run for a cause, and the cause this year is to raise funds for the city's old city jail, located under the water tower in downtown Royse City. Proceeds from the run will be used to restore the old jail because of its historical significance.
