Includes Marin County's most famous trails - Coastal, Miwok, Steep Ravine and the Dipsea, they provide the spectacular setting for this classic, single-loop race. It is a very demanding ultra marathon with over 7,300 feet of elevation change.
This year, it is the USATF national 50KM Trail Championship race.

Forgot my trail shoes, so had to run in my Vibram Fivefingers, dodging roots and rocks on very slippery, muddy trails...even slipped on some mud and fell off the trail into the bushes on a cliff, fortunately did not get hurt, so was helped to my feet by a hiker and another runner behind me...was able to continue to the finish, my fastest time on this course.
