Lots of hills and stairs on this single track trail make this extremely challenging. But, to add to the challenge is dealing with the adversity of the Handicap start, which means being passed or passing other runners on a very narrow, rocky, rutted, hilly surface or on uneven crazy steps.

Notes: This event lived up to its reputation. Mill Valley turn-around was Grand Central Station, with many runners returning, while still other runners were passing. Very difficult on rooted, rocky single-track trails and stairs.
