Comments | I have suffered through a bout with ITBS in my right hip and I am still working through Plantars Fascitis. I have tried inserts in my shoes but nothing seems to help. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am currently getting LILT therapy on my foot.. it seems to be helping. Yay!!! |
Fitness Statement | When I reached my heaviest weight of 180lbs I came to the decision that I was tired of being fat and tired. I promised myself to workout every day. I started with walking, and low impact areobics. I love to run whether on my treadmill or outside. I also do weight training, circuit training, biking, walking , boxing, and yoga alternating what I do each day.. but running at least 1 or 2 times a week. I may only run 1 - 2 times a week and at the most 5K but I am also doing so with grade 3.5 chondro malacia in both knees. I have to have gel injections in both my knees every 6 months. but I am determined to stay active. I have lost about 45lbs and to many inches to remember. I've gone from a size 20 to a size 8 and I feel great. Exercising gives me the energy I need to face every day. |

did a combination of things for a good 3 hour workout this morning. Wrapped my ankle good before I started. But will really be glad when I can go run again.
On Wednesday, August 31 while at work I twisted /sprained my ankle and bruised my right kneecap. I have been unable to do any running or yoga. Walking at work all day for 9 hours was a workout! Especially with a sprained ankle and swollen knee. It is healing slowly but hoping that by the end of this next week I'll be able to get out and do some running (slowly). I miss not being able to do yoga or go running.
I was so wishing that I would be able to go out for a run this morning. but my foot was really hurting just walking so decided it would be best not to push it. I hate not being able to run. Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with Plantars Fascitis? I tried taping but that didn't work. I am trying new insoles now as well as a new pair of running shoes. Icing it at night when I get home from work.... does anyone have any other suggestions. I want to run again!
