"I plugged in your half marathon time you just ran in Duluth on Saturday (1:03:15) and the charts are saying sub 44 minutes. Fernando Cabada's world record time is 45:34 (10k leg 30:31 and 5k leg 15:02). I think you can do it. There is a $500 bonus if you do! Are you ready?"

2013 Overland Park Double Road Race

The Double is one race with two legs.  The first leg is a 10k and the second leg (which starts 1:45 minutes later) is the 5k leg.  Times for both legs are added together for scoring.  This is the start of the Double Road Race held in Overland Park June 30, 2013.  Two world records were set by Tyler McCandless (bib no. 311) 45:15 and Molly Pritz (bib no. 364) 53:13.  Many other age-group records were also established.  Photos by Catherine Cross from Ujena Fit Club
