The half marathon course shows athletes some of the highlights of Kansas City including the Power & Light District, the Sprint Center, The Kansas City Star building, Hospital Hill, UMKC Campus, Brookside Neighborhood, The Plaza, Broadway Business District, the The National World War I Museum and Memorial and finally back to the beginning at Crown Center.

Notes: I have run in this event 42 times, beginning in 1975. One of my favorites for sure, even though a difficult course and typically a little too warm. Today we had a start delay of about 30 minutes due to lightning, however a cool front moved in at the same time giving great relief from the oppressive heat.
