Each year, about 1,600 runners and walkers of all activity levels participate in this family-friendly event that is a fun celebration of our country's independence.
Participants may choose the 5K course or 10K course, which are flat and fully traffic-controlled.

Notes: I have probably done either the 5K or 10K here at least 20 times. Mostly flat course. We had good weather this year, low 60s, I was happy with my time even though I couldn't quite catch the age group winner, 11 second gap.
