Comments	Bob What you have done for running is obviously a blessing to us all. And, Your Double Series is a really cool and unique concept. I look forward to my first one tomorrow (6/28/15) in Overland Park, KS. Your magazine is entertaining along with having very useful tips to enhance our performance. Most of the running suggestions, training, etc. apply to reacewalking as well as running.
Fitness Statement	I am a racewalker (Heartland Racewalkers) and I compete in local 5 & 10K's with the runners as well as competing at state and national senior games in judged racewalking events. About 10 years ago I had a hip replacement which halted my running because of the pounding. But needing to always have one foot on the ground with racewalking, there is no pounding. So, I have no problem and I love it. I work out 6-7 times a week and mix up the racewalking with a stationary bike. I also do upper and lower body weights three times per week. I am currently 72.
Running Achievements	While racewalking, I usually place in my age group in standard running races. I have earned medals at various State Senior Games and look forward to medaling at my second national Senior Games this summer in Minneapolis. In my three year racewalking history, I have earned approximately 50 medals. I hope to go to Lyon, France for the World Senior Games in the Fall.
