| Fitness Statement | I run because I love it and because it keeps me healthy and "sane". It is how I have dealt with the loss of my husband from cancer, and then the loss of my 1st born son at age 20 from a snow skiing accident. Balancing family, running, and work has honed my organization and time management skills, that's for sure! My fitness routine includes running almost every day, mileage varies based on length of race I am training for (anything from 5K-marathon). I also enjoy swimming as cross training and spin class. |

Good job in New York...you ran a great first half and I know you are not happy with your final time but these things happen. I would rather go for it and see what happens than just to sit back and finish with too much left. But I know those last few miles must have been tough...one foot in front of the other.
